It is believed in society that the strong half of humanity is constantly thinking about sex, while women dream more about romance.
The experiment involved 283 students who were asked to record all their thoughts during the day for one week. All respondents were in the age category of 18 to 25 years.
The list of participants' thoughts included money, sleep, food, love and many other things. Volunteers were not told that the data collected about the number of thoughts about sex, because it would prevent the purity of the experiment.
After analyzing the data, scientists learned that men are really more likely than women to think about sex, but such thoughts also visit women. These figures were in men – 34 times a day, and in women – 18 times a day.
Previously, psychologists said that men think about sex every 7 seconds, but this survey showed the fallacy of this judgment.
Thoughts about sex come to men 2 times an hour, and to women, respectively, 1 time per hour, which suggests that the difference between the sexes is not significant in this matter. It is noted that men are also more likely to think about sleep and food.
